Cass Christopher, IBCLC

(she/her) is the owner of CCLC. Cass is a former dancer, singer, actress and Broadway performer. Before having a family, she toured the world, taking in language & culture from 28 countries on 4 continents.

Among many things, she is a wife to Josh, a mother to two little boys, and long time resident of West Harlem, NYC. As a new mom she had many breastfeeding challenges but had never heard of a lactation consultant. Her early struggles with feeding inspired her to help others and advocate for the needs of families and their babies.

Cass did her lactation internship at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center providing breastfeeding support to underserved communities. She believes that everyone deserves high quality and compassionate health care and is passionate about providing lactation support to everyone, regardless of their race, culture, who they love, or their financial situation.

  • LaShanda Dandrich, IBCLC

    LaShanda (she/her) provides care prenatally, by telehealth, and in the Manhattan office for CCLC. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and co-founder of the Lactation Learning Collective. She After the birth of her daughter in 2009, her passion for breastfeeding and supporting mothers and families in the postpartum period blossomed. She became a trained postpartum doula while pursuing her IBCLC credential. She has supported families of all diverse, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds throughout NYC. She resides in Harlem with her daughter.

  • Allison Walsh IBCLC, LCCE, FACCE

    Allison (she/her) sees CCLC clients in-home below 34th street in Manhattan and in western Brooklyn, in the Manhattan office, and by telehealth. She is a lactation consultant, childbirth educator, postpartum doula and co-founding member of the Lactation Learning Collective. She has been active in the birth and parenting world since 1999, and is the mother of three children. After working for 15 years in NYC hospitals, Allison loves providing in-home care to new families. She has a passion for helping new parents build confidence by providing respectful and supportive care.

  • Kate DiMarco Ruck, BA, IBCLC, PMH-C

    Kate (she/her) supports CCLC families in her Brooklyn Office. She is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and Infant Feeding Expert providing private practice breast/chest/bodyfeeding and bottle feeding.

    Kate is a compassionate and knowledgeable IBCLC who has a holistic point of vie. While she works with families experiencing a variety of lactation issues, Kate specializes in working with dyads who have Low Milk Supply, Tethered Oral Tissues and Structural Issues, Breastfeeding after Reduction (BFAR) and has special training in postpartum mood disorders.

    Kate recently served on the board of New York Lactation Consultants Association as Education/Events Director. She is founder of The Parenting Studio- a community space in Brooklyn, NY.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Baldwin Wallace University.  Kate has visited all 7 continents on earth, but calls Brooklyn, NY home. 

  • Shamina Rao, IBCLC, CD, RYT

    Shamina provides in-home and telehealth care to families in Brooklyn, NY. She is a Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Birth Doula, and prenatal Yoga Instructor. But most importantly, she is a mother of two, her greatest teachers. She grew up in India, the Far East and East Africa but Brooklyn has been home for the last 30 years!

    Shamina has been supporting families prenatally, during birth and postpartum for over 10 years. Her focus is to empower her clients by providing patient centered holistic care by truly listening to them, providing education and individualized care.

    Shamina completed her lactation clinical hours at Jamaica Hospital caring for underserved communities and is passionate about working with organizations fighting for equal access to quality healthcare for all people.

  • Tabatha Valderrama, BA, IBCLC

    Tabatha (she/her) provides in-home and telehealth care to families in Brooklyn, NY. Her own journey with breastfeeding began in 2018. Like many other parents she was overwhelmed with information, diagnoses, and advice from both professionals and loved ones. Because of the struggles that they’d overcome, Tabatha became committed to trying to help other parents achieve their feeding goals.

    In 2020 she began her journey to become an IBCLC completing her clinical internship at Jamaica Hospital. Tabatha is able to assist with latching difficulties, pumping routines, support NICU families, provide prenatal education, help with feeding difficulties throughout various infant and parent health issues and more.

    Tabatha believes and respects that body feeding looks different for everyone. She is passionate about improving healthcare outcomes for birthing people, especially those in our most vulnerable communities. She continues to listen and learn everyday, and is committed to helping families achieve their personal goals through a compassionate and non-judgmental lens.
