Brooklyn Office OON Rates: Click Here

    HSA/FSA accepted

Credit card fees of 3.5% apply to all credit transactions.

CCLC IBCLC’s commonly see Out Of Network patients as part of their personal private practices and those relationships are not related to the relationships they make through CCLC. Each IBCLC’s OON rate may differ should you have contacted them directly and are not using your insurance to pay for the visit.

The rates above are accurate for out of network visits with Cass, or if your insurance claim was denied and you are being invoiced for the visit at OON rates.

  • What if one of us is on a covered plan but the other isn't?

If you are on a covered plan but your baby is not, or visa-versa, there is a $150 assessment fee for the non-covered patient.

This will be charged to the credit card on file.

A SuperBill for potential insurance reimbursement can be provided upon request to cass@casschristopher.com after payment is received.

  • Are there any other fees I should be aware of?

$150 - non insurance covered patient assessment

$75 -cancellation fee for visits cancelled without 24 hours notice

$40 - travel fee for all in-home care regardless of insurance coverage

$varied - co-payments, co-insurance or other denied portions of claims. Please reach out to your insurance company for more information on non-covered portions of claims should you have received an invoice from CCLC.

  • What's the deal with the travel fee?

The travel fee is $40 and is payable to your IBCLC at the time of visit.

Please consult with your IBCLC on their preferred method of payment.

LC’s who take insurance take a pay cut to do so. The travel fee goes towards their travel related expenses and the time spent traveling when performing services in your home that are often not accounted for by insurance company payments.

  • What is expected from me during a consultation?

Intake forms must be filled out and submitted 24 hours before your consultation otherwise your visit is subject to cancellation. Please complete fields as fully as you can. The more information we have before the consult, the more time we can spend on working through issues and questions at hand.

If you would like to work on feeding, be it at the body/breast or by bottle, please plan prior feedings so that the baby is hungry during the consultation.

If you have questions about pump fit or function have the pump and pump parts clean and close by.

Please provide hand soap and paper towels for your IBCLC doing a home visit.

  • How do telehealth visits work?

Your LC will provide you with a video link to join them for the consultation. We often use Google Meets as we have a HIPAA compliant agreement with them. If you prefer a different video call method, please reach out to your LC to discuss.

As with all visit types, your IBCLC will discuss any pertinent health and feeding history and address your questions.

If you have pump questions, please have your pump and pump parts available to work with. Your IBCLC can size your flange and discuss pumping tips including pump settings.

If you are working on latching or feeding and can have a partner or support person present, it is extremely helpful as they can move the camera around and show different angles which is helpful in assessing latch at the body or bottle.

Telehealth consults are generally about 60 minutes long but can be shorter depending on how much there is to address.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much can be accomplished in your telehealth consultation.
